A.M. Engineering and Chemical Co. is one of the largest integrated chemical and tyre companies of West Bengal, with customers all across the country. We have been serving the society since 1985 in various ways through our large gamut of chemical and tyre products.
We are a leading manufacturer of several chemical products with a pan India footprint. We take an integrated approach towards sustainability and a wide range of liable products; thereby optimizing the use of raw materials and industrial resources.
We manufacture chemicals mainly for commercial use. We are one of the leading SSI/MSME manufacturing unit of various chemicals like Brown Soap, Lubricating Soaps, Chain Conveyor Lubricants for LPG Bottling Plants, Sodium Hypochlorite Solutions, Disinfectants, Bi-Cycle Tyres and Tubes etc.
Our premium product Brown Soap is considered as an Essential Commodity by the Government of India which we are regularly supplying to Oil PSU like IOCL, BPCL & HPCL Bottling Plants. Our product Sodium Hypochlorite Solution is widely used for Covid-19 disinfection, surface sanitization, water purification, laundry purpose. We are also the largest manufacturer of Prince Brand Bi-Cycle Tyres and Tubes in Eastern India Region.
Our relentless efforts to provide high quality and cost effective products have made us a trustworthy supplier to many renowned companies across India including Government Organizations like HPCL, IOCL, BPCL, Indian Railways and Premier Industries like Britannia, HUL, ITC etc. Our annual turnover is approximately Rs. 25 crores every year, with a Y-O-Y growth of 15%.
Our Journey
It was almost four decades back, when Mrs. Manjushree Ghosh got an idea to make soap and phenyl at her home, and soon her husband, Mr. Apares Chandra Ghosh, an IIT Kharagpur graduate in Metallurgical Engineering, turned it into a frolicking and fast-growing industry of their own.
During our journey from establishing the company from scratch, the co-founder had to overcome numerous obstacles in these many years by facing financial challenges, labour and operational issues. He crossed all the barriers to keep the factory running and achieve its goals. Slowly we started making a name for ourselves due to the high standards of our products, our reasonable price range and keeping the trust and faith bestowed upon us by the customers.
Since 1990, we have expanded to Kharagpur, where we currently have the most number of sheds to be ever held by any company in Kharagpur Industrial Estate. A.M. Engineering and Chemical Co. has always been a development driven company serving many customers in various fields.
Since 2016-17, we have ventured into the tyres and rubber market too and have become a reliable name in the state of West Bengal. With our state-of-the-art machineries and industrial equipment, we have transformed ourselves into one of the finest and leading manufacturers and suppliers of tyre, tube and various industrial products.
During the lockdown imposed in India in 2020, due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, despite all the obstacles and hurdles, we kept our factories open throughout as we fell in the category of essential products as recognized by the Indian Government. We are proud to be able to keep all our employees at no pay cuts, and we will continue to serve the society in this selfless manner throughout.
Today, the name A.M. Engineering and Chemical Co. rings a bell of respect and trust amongst its many old and new customers. We are a leading manufacturer of several chemical products with a pan India footprint and we have achieved all of this and will strive and aim for more success in the future.
